  • Branch Social to Hawkhurst, Cranbrook and Brenchley Saturday 1 August 2026 11:30 Test venue

    Catch the 11.35 Stagecoach 1066 bus from Tunbridge Wells Royal Victoria Parade outside Metrobank (stop K2) via TW railway station (stop T) to arrive at the Eight Bells pub in Hawkhurst at 12.28 for their beer, food and music festival. Then move on catching the Arriva 5 bus at 14.35 to Cranbrook and Larkins Alehouse for a visit of an hour and a half. Then catch the 297 Hams bus at 16.27 back to Tunbridge Wells with the option of a 90 minute hydration break at the Halfway House at Brenchley before catching the final 297 at 18.20 back to TW. Those without a bus pass would need to buy a £10 Day Discovery ticket from the first driver which will cover all the bus journeys.

  • Branch Social to Chislehurst and Petts Wood Friday 7 August 2026 Test venue

    Take the 12.39 train from Tunbridge Wells via High Brooms (12.43), Tonbridge (12.51) and Sevenoaks (13.00) to Orpington (13.08). Then catch the 61 bus to the Cockpit micropub in Chislehurst (Bromley CAMRA Pub of the Year) followed by the 273 bus returning to the One Inn the Wood micropub (former Pub of the Year) in Petts Wood. The nearby Wetherspoon Sovereign of the Seas is available for food. Numerous trains run from Petts Wood station for the journey home. A return train ticket to Petts Wood would be required.

  • Branch Social to Rye Thursday 20 August 2026 Test venue

    Branch Social to Rye via St Leonards. Buying a return ticket to Rye and breaking the journey at St Leonards, take the 10.49 train from Sevenoaks via Tonbridge (10.59), High Brooms (11.05) and Tunbridge Wells (11.10) to arrive in St Leonards at 11.44. After a refreshment stop whilst waiting for the connecting train, continue the 25 minute journey through to Rye where numerous pubs are of interest including the Waterworks, Ypres Castle, Mermaid, etc and Garage Culture brewery.

  • Branch Social to Halfway House Brenchley Beer Festival Friday 28 August 2026 Halfway House

    Branch Social to the Halfway House Brenchley bank holiday beer festival using the Hams 297 bus leaving Tunbridge Wells railway station (stop C) at 12.15 via Monson Road (stop M) and Pembury Hospital (12.28) arriving at the pub at 12.49 (ring the bell to request to be dropped right outside the pub). Those coming from the Tonbridge direction can pick the 297 bus up from Pembury Hospital by taking the 219 or 208 bus from Tonbridge. Alternatively for those who would like to include a walk, trains from Tonbridge to Paddock Wood leave at 17 and 47 minutes past the hour for an approximate one hour walk to the Halfway House.
